Designer Demna Gvasalia said that "my first year at Gucci was dedicated to understanding and formulating what Gucci stands for. The conclusion of my research is that Gucci stands for being rooted in the desire to belong to a more glamorous world, and in the audacity to remake that world in your own image. Gucci is about luxury that wants to be seen. It is about the tension between propriety and sensuality."

Do 'glamour' and 'luxury' share the same orientation? The obvious answer is: it could be, or it could not be. This is because both terms are highly abstract while also possessing strong sensory qualities.
Gucci hats are commonly worn by teenagers on the streets of Europe. Nevertheless, the reason for consuming Gucci is that
the value of wealth and luxury has shifted from proving one's money to time, experience, education, and the environment in which one spends one's day.
Unlike the past when the Gucci logo was important, if I consume Gucci, design and quality are certainly important; however, if I consume Gucci in an environment rife with counterfeits,
the staff and environment during the purchase, safety regarding endocrine disruptors, materials and storage methods, and the community of people who have consumed Gucci will become important keywords.

While it may not be possible to gauge a company’s full potential, its financial performance provides a reasonable indication of its actual achievements. In today’s complex world—fraught with variables such as wars, civil unrest, and inflation—growth is typically assessed by comparing a given quarter to the same period in the previous year. However, I intend to take a different approach: examining what kind of performance can be anticipated given the current circumstances.

It is exciting to see these two industry veterans taking steps to accelerate their timeline by a full year—even at the cost of paying compensation to do so. I hope that the collaboration between L’Oréal and Gucci will not only enhance branding within the beauty industry but also lead to tangible, measurable progress and success.
